Chef Bobbie Miller's passion for the art of food started back in 1982 with the Hyatt Corporation. This is where Chef Bobbie's hotel career began to take off; she learned every angle of the culinary field. Chef Bobbie's tenure with Hyatt was twenty years. During those years, Chef Bobbie reached out and helped in taskforce with other hotels. Chef Bobbie came to the Washington, DC area to open the Hyatt Regency in Reston, Va. Chef Bobbie worked at several of their hotels in the DC Metro area, including two of their largest properties. Chef Bobbie joined the Marriott (formerly Starwood) family in 2002 where she has worked for both Westin and Sheraton. In 2004, she became the Executive Chef at The Westin Embassy Row. After a year and a half, Chef Miller opened The Westin Arlington Gateway which held Starwood's first Italian Restaurant concept, "Pinzimini". After five successful years, she transferred to The Sheraton Premiere at Tyson's Corner to get back to the bigger and busier hotel life. Plus, she opened another concept restaurant for Starwood an American style pub "Brix And Ale." Chef Miller enjoys cooking food from all countries and has catered for ethnic weddings and events.  In addition, Chef Miller has catered to several kosher centered events. Chef Miller has had the opportunity to cook for presidents, dignitaries and several celebrities such as President Reagan, President Bush Sr., President Clinton, President Bush Jr., Vice President Dick Cheney, Senator Hillary Clinton, Newt Gingrich, Madeleine Albright, Princess Diane, Sean Connery, Morgan Freeman, Elizabeth Taylor, Steve Martin, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, and Ragheb Alama. Chef Miller is always looking to progress her and her staff's skills. During her culinary career, Chef Miller has been in several competitions, such as ice carving, food shows and The Taste of Arlington. Chef Miller has also received fourteen awards including Manager of the Year from several of the hotels whom she has worked with. Chef Miller has catered to several high profile events such as Virginia Gold Cup, Horatio Alger Scholarship Awards, White House Photographer Awards, and Indy 500. Chef Miller was part of the host hotel of the NBA All-Star Game & NCAA, as well as several inaugurations and government events. During September 11, 2001, attack Chef Miller helped Salvation Army take in, organize, and deliver supplies to all of the workers and law enforcement officials cleaning up the Pentagon. Chef Miller has volunteered in DC soup kitchens, helped paint DC Schools, helped with the collection and donation of books for the DC Schools as well as reading to the students. Chef Miller also has collected and delivered fans in the summertime to the elderly, and coats and blankets to the homeless in the winter months. Additionally, Chef Miller has taken part in former First Lady Michelle Obama's Chef's Moves to Schools and Zoofari at the Washington, DC Zoo. Chef Miller takes joy in volunteering where ever is needed and loves cooking for the Fire Stations that service her properties during the holidays.
